Greg Harrison, APC

Greg is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands and a Master of Divinity from Emory University. His background in both clinical counseling and spiritual care allows him to thoughtfully support the whole person — emotionally, relationally, and, when desired, spiritually.

Greg has experience working in university, nonprofit, spiritual care, and inpatient settings. He supports clients navigating grief, trauma, crisis situations, and seasons of deep transition. Whether someone is feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or carrying unresolved pain, Greg works to create a steady, grounded space where healing can begin.

In session, Greg takes a direct, yet compassionate approach. Drawing from principles of Existential counseling, Gestalt therapy and mindfulness-based practices, he helps clients gently explore underlying patterns of dysfunction, increase self-awareness, and work through difficult emotions in real time. His goal is not just symptom relief, but meaningful and lasting change.

Greg works with children, adolescents, and adults, and provides therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups. He values collaboration and believes therapy works best when clients feel respected, understood, and actively involved in their own growth.

Outside of work, Greg loves to find new adventures outdoors with his family and dog, Ruthie. You can find him roller blading with Ruthie, kayaking, or running obstacle course races on the weekends!

Greg is currently practicing under the supervision of Julie Evans, LPC, CPCS.
