Lindsay is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Troy University and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Counseling. She comes to private practice after spending two years working in corrections, where she provided individual and group mental health services to incarcerated individuals. Prior to her work in corrections, Lindsay served in felony adult drug court, conducting assessments and providing individual counseling for individuals experiencing addiction and substance use disorders.
Lindsay has experience working with a wide range of clients across various ages and backgrounds, supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, trauma, and psychotic-related disorders. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with a person-centered approach, emphasizing the development and implementation of healthy coping skills.
Lindsay believes in meeting clients exactly where they are and supporting them as they work toward becoming the best version of themselves. She values exploring how a person’s childhood, lived experiences, and cultural background shape their present. Lindsay views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership, where both client and therapist work together toward shared goals.
She is especially passionate about working with individuals facing addiction and substance use challenges, helping them explore their trauma and understand the roots of maladaptive coping patterns. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, being outdoors, and reading.
Lindsay is currently practicing under the supervision of Julie Evans, LPC, CPCS.
